This is another cookies day! Today i have made cornflakes cookies, which is easy & fast~ =)
here are the recipe:
ingredients:
1. kellogg's cornflakes 1 box (325g)
2, icing sugar 3oz (or 80g)
3. honey 2 1/2 tablespoons
4. salted butter 125g
5. paper cups
steps:
1. melt the sugar, honey and butter
2. add cornflakes and mix well
3. place the mixed cornflakes into paper cups
4. bake in oven for 10mins (180degree)
5. ready to serve
This is an "easy-to-make" cookies which taste yummy~ So, please do a try because never try, you will never know~ =) happy baking ^^v

a cookies day
woohoo~ chinese new year is just two weeks from now.. it's about the time for me to learn baking again.. wahaha, i have not bake for almost one year since this year cny for my butter cakes.. :p
today, my "assignment" is to bake two cookies, pineapple cookies & kuih momoo (both mum & sister favorite)..
pineapple roll cookies' recipe:
ingredients:
1. 250g butter
2. 60g icing sugar (or 2oz)
3. 270g flour (or 9oz)
4. 100g corn flour (or 3oz)
5. 2 tablespoons of milk powder
6. abit salt
7. 1 egg
8. ready made pineapple jam
steps:
1. beat butter & sugar till fluffy
2. put in egg, stir well
3. add in flours (no. 3 to no. 6), mix well by hand till it becomes firm and non-stick dough (p/s: may add some flour or corn flour if it's too watery) - do not mix too long and too hard...
4. put mixture into the mould, press out into strips, put in jam and roll it softly
5. bake in preheated oven at 180c, for 10 mins, take out and put some egg yolk on its topping, and bake for another 10-15mins (estimated) or till it turns to golden brown
6. here the yummy pineapple cookies are ready to serve... =)
for kuih momoo, the ingredients and methods are the same, just the shape is round, without jam and mix with icing sugar after it's baked~
i feel great and fun~ because i learned new things and it tastes yummy~ a big thank you to my dearest aunties for everything... =)

a dinner at 海天楼
hmm.. is this our first time (yih & shuan) to bring mum to eat in "restaurant"?? i can't remember i did bring her before this, i mean not chinese food, because i always want her to try new stuff, like western food, japanese food, but i guess this is first time to " chinese restaurant"... we ordered three dishes, thai style bidin, homemade tofu and pork leg with man tou (mum's favor ^^)... though it's just three dishes, but really make us so full... and i am happy to bring mum.. mum, i promise to bring you to try more nicer foods next time.. opps, talk about food make me hungry again.. wahaha.. i miss peking duck at li garden, should bring them to try =) and it's would be so much funs if lian lian is here too.. =)

这几天心情很糟糕, 感觉很迷惘..
我开始在想 我做对了吗,我在做我喜欢的吗, 我想是时候改变了, 改变我的生活模式, 那, 到底我要的生活模式是什么?第一样要做的是 相信自己, 相信 我可以看到, 相信我要的都会发生。 接着,要改变的就是自己, 往自己要的,喜欢的生活模式前进, 从每天的小习惯做起, 慢慢地成为喜欢的自己,快乐的自己... 好好加油吧!

a night with great foods
a special, crazy, full & fun night with variety of typical local great foods..
kolo mee at sin bao bao, ban hock road
sarawak laksa and sio bee at bintawa
satay at satay house, hui sing hawker stalls
ice mentahon tang at hui sing hawker stalls
and durian at yen's house.. i guess i will crave for kuching foods very much if i am not in kuching one day.. just like ah-yen =)
*a message to ah-yen, thank you so much for these few days great times and we will waiting for you to come back and clear our long to-eat list and we will miss you.. =)

well, yen is filly, filly is yen.. the reason why we call her filly is because.. haha, of cause i won't write it here, because it's our gals' secret~
this is third night filly's night in kuching, i really feel so grateful because i got chinese food on thursday night, korean food on friday night, and what is the food for satursday night? here they go...
a red wine call BIN 8, cabernet which is brought over the sea to kuching by filly...
delicious lamb chop cook by aunty and filly, really yummy~ *thumbs up*
we got bintawa kueh chap.. wow, miss this so much, thanks to ah-hoon =)
and we also got rambutan and langsat which plucked by aunty and filly from fruit farm.. and durian (can't take cos have to choose between red wine & durian =))*filly, i want to go vege & fruit farm next time, bring me!! :p*
hahaha, see how enjoy we are on this wonderful saturday night~ cheers~

i change a new looks~
i have a hair cut today, mum keeps laughing i got mushroom head.. haha, so happy to see she laugh.. *funny~*

a night at seoul garden
yuppie! welcome our filly back to town!!
and after much discussions and we finally decided to have korean food at seoul garden as our dinner. this is my first time here, though it is not a new korean restaurant in kuching... we ordered a bbq set meal (it's a big portion, we got chicken, duck, lamb and pork and also plates of korean dishes!), kimchi spicy soup (i like this, and it would be more better if more spicy, taste more thicker), korean style fried squids (taste like fried squids lo, but nice also.. )... and for the drink, i tried korea barley tea (hmm, taste exactly like tea!) and also tried abit of korea wine (taste like white wine, the balance filly brings back for aunty to cook kacangma.. :p) and at last the tauke gave us few mini mandarin orange as our dessert.. this is really a "full" night and we all enjoy it very much.. and of cos thanks to filly for bringing us there.. love you.. muacks~

i love my name, 沈采萱
today, i keep changing my msn display name, and at last i change it to my chinese name 沈采萱, and my aunty who don't understand chinese come to message me that she can't find me. haha.. ^^ And she asks what is 萱 means, as what i have understand, it's a plant name, but never know what does it looks like and what is the meaning.. so, i go google and found these:

i am back to yoga
I am now back to yoga after break for 2 months and surprisingly i still can bend myself, cos my bone is a "hard" type.. haha.. Come on, let's exercise for a better health! =)

Kacangma
Kacangma is my another favor's dish, which is simple & easy to cook!
Ingredients:
chicken, kacangma leaves, ginger, white wine, sesame oil, cooking oil
Steps:
1. dry fried the kacangma leaves
2. blend the ginger and get the ginger juices
3. heat the wok, put sesame oil and cooking oil, add in dried blended ginger, stir well with chicken then add in kacangma leaves, ginger juice and white wine (and abits of red wine if want), cook till the chicken is cooked, then this yummy dish is ready to be served.. enjoy~
p/s: salt not needed!

a sunday at kampung lanchang
This is a new, fun, interesting, hot and tired experience to collect fruits in the jungle~ it's so great to see lots of trees of my favor fruit – rambutan (local grape :p), we can just pick and eat the superb fresh rambutan from the trees.. and it’s so cool that we can just play in the stream behind the house and even have a barbeque there..
Great appreciate to uncle's family for the arrangement, lunch, barbeque and rambutans, i like the bbq chicken wing the most because it tasted like pizza hut’s deli wing :D
I wish we will have more family gatherings to gather together and catch up with each other again, not just an annual visiting on chinese new year.. haha.. What is the next?? Jason and Gerald, please organise!! cheers~

yam kuih
this is my first cooking of the year, YAM KUIH~ because i have not make this kuih for almost 2 to 3 years, so this time, i really use 'agak agak', like the portion of the ingredients, the time taken to steam... =)
ingredients:
yam, rice flour, garlic, red onion, cai-po, onion leaves, chilli, salt, pepper, water, hei-bee (dried shrimp).
steps:
1. fried the garlic, red onion and yam, put salt and pepper
2. topping: fried the garlic, red onion, chilli, cai-po, hei-bee, and add bits of salt and pepper
3. mix the rice flour with water, add in yam, then steam...
4. put the topping when it almost cooked!
here the yummy yam kuih is ready to be served~
